I’m a freelance writer with more than 25 years of experience writing about travel, outdoor adventure, and environmental topics. My strength is weaving human-centered narratives into destination pieces, whether it’s describing a place’s history and culture or telling the story of local legends.
My articles have appeared in print and digital publications, including Visit Utah, CSU Magazine, Popular Science, EARTH Magazine, National Parks, AAA Midwest Traveler, Our State: Discovering North Carolina, and others. In addition to writing feature articles, I’ve managed blogs and web content, created marketing materials, and served as editor of several publications.
In 2018, I combined my passion for hiking in southern Utah with my landscape photography and published a full-color print guidebook titled Utah Canyon Country: 20 Must-See Sites and Short Hikes. The book received the gold medal in the Mountain West Regional Nonfiction category, 2019 Independent Publisher (IPPY) Book Awards.
When not working on an article, I’m usually looking for new outdoor adventures or chasing sunsets with my camera.
