I’ve been photographing landscapes for more than 20 years. As a mostly self-taught photographer, I feel fortunate that I learned most of my skills while shooting film. Back then there was no delete button or editing software, which forced me to effectively learn exposure and composition.
Specializing in travel and outdoor photography, I have an extensive inventory of images from the Southwest USA and Hawaiian Islands, as well as photos of geologic formations suitable for illustrating textbooks.
My photos have been published by publications and clients including NASA, the Phoenix Mars Lander Mission, EARTH Magazine, AAA Midwest Traveler, and PopSci.com. I’m also the author of a full-color travel guidebook, Utah Canyon Country: 20 Must-See Sites and Short Hikes, which was illustrated with my photos and received the gold medal in its category in the 2019 Independent Publisher Awards.
My images are available as prints or for licensing. Visit my photography site to view image galleries or contact me for information on how I can help you with travel content or illustration needs.
