I’ve been photographing landscapes for more than 25 years. As a mostly self-taught photographer, I learned most of my skills while shooting on a Canon film camera in the 1990s. Back then there was no editing software, which forced me to learn exposure and composition in the field, without relying on post-processing.
My photos have been published in print magazines and online publications, often as illustrations for an article I’ve written. I’m also author of the award-winning book, Utah Canyon Country: 20 Must-See Sites and Short Hikes, which explores southern Utah’s desert landscapes through history, geology, and my photography. The full-color guidebook was awarded the gold medal in the Western Regional Nonfiction category in the 2019 Independent Publisher (IPPY) Awards.
My extensive inventory of landscape and travel photos includes Colorado and the Rocky Mountains, the desert Southwest, the Hawaiian Islands, and other locations. All images are available for licensing. Visit my galleries page to view images, or contact me about how I can help you with travel illustration needs.
